You can now mark your calendars for the tentative date of the iPhone 15 event. According to a report from 9To5Mac, there are already signs indicating September 13 will be the date of the series’ announcement. If that is true, this also means the dates for the pre-order and official launch of the new iPhones will just be days away from the event.

According to the website, “Mobile carriers have been asking employees not to take days off on September 13 due to a major smartphone announcement.” The request is reportedly shared by different sources with knowledge of the matter, but this is not a direct statement ensuring that the date will really be dedicated to the iPhone 15 event. Yet, given Apple’s connection with carriers and September being the rumored month for the event, there is a high chance that the line will be announced on that date.

In line with that, the Friday of that week, September 15, could signal the start of accepting customer pre-orders. Meanwhile, as 9To5Mac noted, the official launch could happen a week later, which will be on September 22.

Then again, while the news sounds promising, the details should still be taken with a pinch of salt. To recall, there are still issues involving the manufacturing of the series, which could affect the official launch dates for any model. This is nothing new, however, as we already witnessed this in previous iPhone releases, such as the delays in iPhone 12 Pro Max, iPhone 12 mini, and iPhone 14 Plus.
