To begin, click the Active Profile link at the very top of G Hub. Create a new profile or subprofile by clicking on the “Create a new profile or subprofile” button. To create a new profile (and link it to a programme right away), click the plus (+) symbol at the top of the window; to establish a subprofile within that programme, click the minus (+) symbol at the bottom of the window.
To assign buttons and lighting:
To return to the main screen, select the profile or subprofile you want to edit.
Once you’ve done that, select the device you wish to programme and click on it. It’s pretty self-explanatory from here. Customize your mouse and keyboard button assignments, change the lighting or select the sensitivity, or use stereo or surround sound on your headsets. G Hub will immediately save all of your modifications.
In this case, there are only two caveats to remember. One is that if you exit G Hub, your desktop profile will be reactivated. Be careful when you come back to G Hub and choose to keep editing your game profile, or you might accidentally mess around with the productivity settings on your hardware.
The second thing to keep in mind is that you must manually assign buttons to switch between subprofiles in order to do so. If you don’t have a G button on your headset, you can use a mouse button, a keyboard macro, or any other device’s thumb buttons. The Profile Cycle option can be found in the System tab under the G Hub heading.
Why is Logitech G-Hub not loading on Windows?
Could be that Windows thinks the programme is already open if Logitech is already running and starts up with Windows. In order to fix this issue, you must stop the G Hub service and prevent it from starting up again. It’s also possible that the Windows Firewall has already prohibited the programme from being used.
When you first open the programme, it tries to establish an internet connection, but your firewall settings may prohibit it from doing so. The Windows Defender Firewall needs an exception to be created. Last but not least, the most common issue is that you have not granted G Hub administrator permissions.
Solution 1 – Restarting The Process Using The Task Manager
You’ve probably used the task manager previously to deal with frozen programmes. The Logitech process in the Task Manager is the most frequently encountered cause of this problem, and the majority of users have resolved their issues by terminating it in the Task Manager and disabling it from startup. Prevent this from happening by following the steps below:
- To open the Task Manager menu, simultaneously press the Ctrl + Shift + Esc keys. Additionally, you can use the Ctrl + Alt + Del key combination and pick Task Manager from the popup blue screen with many alternatives that appear. Alternatively, you can conduct a search for it in the Start Menu. We frequently choose the first option simply because it is the simplest.
- To expand the Task Manager, click the “More Details” option in the lower left corner of the window. Under the Apps tab or the Background Processes option, look for “Logitech Gaming.” Select it and then click the “End Task” option in the menu’s lower right-hand section.
- Verify that the issue has been resolved. If you are still unable to open the G Hub app, proceed to the next step. Additionally, you can disable it at startup. To do so, open the Task Manager and travel to the “Startup” tab. Select the “Logitech Gaming” option and then click the “Disable” button.
Solution 2 – Execute A Clean Reinstall
- Start Windows Explorer and navigate to “This PC.”
- Open C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Local\Logitech\LGHUB\profiles.
- If you are unable to open this folder, you will want to view hidden files and folders. On the File Explorer menu, select the “View” tab and then the “Hidden Items” tick. The hidden files will then be visible in File Explorer. It’s worth noting that this option will be retained until you alter it again.
- Ascertain that you have selected all of the.xml files containing profile data. Then, right-click the selection and select “Copy.” Paste these files in a location where you will be able to locate them again.
- Open the Control Panel by clicking on the Start Menu. If you are using Windows 10, you can open the Settings option by clicking on the gear icon.
- Select “View as Category” in the upper-right corner of the Control Panel and then click “Uninstall a Program” under the Programs category.
- If you’re using the Settings app, click on Apps and you should immediately get a pop-up window listing all of the programmes installed on your computer.
- Locate the entry for G Hub on the list. Above the list, click the Uninstall button and confirm any dialogue boxes that appear.
- Following that, you should follow the on-screen directions to successfully uninstall the Logitech Gaming Software.
- Reboot the computer.
- Following that, you’ll need to remove any remaining data.
- Open Windows Explorer and click on “This PC” to navigate to this location: C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Local\Logitech
- Delete the Logitech Gaming Software folder and then reinstall it via their website installer. Ensure that you are using the most recent installation. You should follow the pop-up instructions.
Solution 3 – Run The Software As An Administrator
- Navigate to the Logitech Gaming Software main folder that you specified during installation. In most cases, it will be located in C:\Program Files (x86)\ Logitech Gaming Software.
- Locate and change the properties of the.exe file by right-clicking on its entry on the Desktop, the Search results window, or the Start menu. Select Properties.
- In the Properties window, navigate to the Compatibility tab and check the box to run as administrator.
- Uncheck the box next to “Run This Program in Compatibility Mode” if it was checked under the Compatibility mode section.
- Confirm any pop-up dialogues.
- To verify that the issue has been resolved, double click.
