The CiBest 4200 is the brightest portable projector under $100. The projector uses diffuse reflection technology that makes the projection softer and protects the eyes. It is also equipped with a powerful cooling system that does not make too much noise like other projectors do.

Design and Ports

On the top, the unit has a focus ring, keystone correction, and all the important buttons. On the right side, the device has an SD card slot, two audio ports, two USB ports, an HDMI port, and a VGA port. The 8-Type power outlet, speaker, and the sensor for remote control are on the back.

With so many ports available, the projector can be connected to devices such as firestick, laptops, tablets, gaming consoles, iPads, iPhones, Android phones, TVs, and more.

The CiBest home theater projector can be placed 2.6 to 14.8 feet away from the wall, and it is 80% brighter than other mini projectors at this price. The picture looks vibrant and very detailed thanks to the contrast of 2,000:1 and 4,200 lux. The audio is loud, but it’s not the best since it’s not possible to pack powerful speakers into portable projectors like this. However, you can connect your external speakers for better sound quality.

Meer YG300 Portable Pico Full Color LED LCD Projector

check button
The Meer YG300 is a lightweight, cheap mini projector that is perfect for on the go presentations or quick movie watching. Due to its size and weight, it’s easy to travel with and can be carried in your backpack or handbag. The projector offers a 60-inch projection, which is excellent, considering its price.

Remote Control

The device comes with an infrared remote that has a power button, play-pause buttons, and up-down and left-right buttons. On the back, the remote has a battery compartment that requires two AAA batteries which are not included.

On the side, the unit has a USB port, an HDMI port, the power input, and ON/OFF Switch. Around the back, you’ll find a micro USB port, a micro SD slot, 3.5MM jack, and of course, audio-video output. All these ports allow you to connect laptops, DVD players, gaming consoles, smartphones, and other devices.

Operating System

The projector has a very light operating system with easy to use UI design. You can navigate between video files, music files, photos, and text that’s stored in your SD card or USB drive. It supports mp4 Avi files encoded up to 1080p, and for photos, it supports JPEG files. A file manager is also available that works without any issues.

Projection Quality

If you look closer, the picture looks slightly pixilated, but the picture quality looks good from an average distance. The Meer YG300 has 400 lumens, which are enough for moderately lit rooms. In a completely dark room, the projection looks bright and colorful, but in a well-lit room, the colors look washed out and lifeless. The projector supports resolutions up to 1080p, and the aspect ratio is 4:3 or 16: 9 with a size up to 80 inches.

Built-In Speaker

The projector also has a small built-in speaker with decent volume, but we recommend plugging in external speakers for a better listening experience.

Is it the Best Projector Under $100?

Yes, The meer YG300 is one of the best projectors under $100. However, the colors look a bit muted in a well-lit room, so don’t expect colors as 4k projectors offer. Those high-end projectors cost several thousand dollars, and the maintenance is also too high.
