There are new claims circulating online that Apple will offer a 2TB storage option for the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, while the base storage of the said models will reportedly start at 256GB, which is double the current 128GB option we have. There are no details on whether this will also be applied to the standard iPhone 15 models.
The claims were shared by a Korean Naver blog user named yeux1122, saying a “supplier source” shared that “Apple iPhone 15 Pro and Max models will have a new 2-tera option this time.” On Weibo, another claim was spotted, sharing the same claims. According to the accounts, the iPhone 15 Pro models will come in 256GB, 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB options.
However, it is important to note that the same rumors were made about the iPhone 14 Pro models last year but, unfortunately, didn’t happen. With this, taking these things with a pinch of salt is still suggested.
On the other side of the coin, it is still likely that Apple will push these options, especially with the rumored price hikes it will implement to the Pro options in the line. And given that Apple will also reportedly boost the camera system of the series, giving the models higher storage capacities makes sense. After all, the current 128GB offering in the iPhone 14 model seems inadequate, given the current storage consumption when using the ProRes feature of the phones.
