The Spectre app started in 2019 and even became the App Store’s App of the Year. It is an AI app for iOS that offers long exposures, which is commonly found in DSLR cameras. It also employs machine learning alongside other capabilities, such as AI stabilization for long-exposure shots without the need for a tripod. Initially, the app launched with a one-time payment of $1.99, but it should no longer be applied to anyone wanting to download it now.
The new update makes the app free, giving users access to its 3-second exposure capability. Nonetheless, there’s also now an option for longer exposure times via the new Spectre Pro iOS app recently released on the App Store. The new app costs $4.99, giving users options for 5, 9, 15, and 30-second exposures. It also adds custom icons, while the entire update includes improved support for the latest Apple devices. According to the app developer, previous users who bought the former version of the Spectre app would automatically get the new Spectre Pro app for free.
The iOS app is compatible with iPhone SE, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone X, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR, iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max. It also requires iOS 12 or later updates.
