Apple has already released the second beta version of the iOS 17 update, and it should include support for the new AirDrop sharing feature. It will allow users to invoke a new sharing process easily, and you’ll know when it starts and ends… thanks to its soothing animation.

AirDrop is one of the sections getting huge improvements in iOS 17, and it includes the addition of the new NameDrop feature. As Apple says, it will allow two devices to exchange contact details easily alongside the users’ new Contact Posters. The action can be initiated through AirDrop’s new sharing gesture, which involves holding the iPhones close to each other.

Knowing Apple, the feature doesn’t come with just simple animation. You can see the feature in action in a video shared by iOS and Android enthusiast Aaron Zollo on Twitter.

Right after making the essential steps to share a certain file via AirDrop, the process will automatically start as soon as the upper sections of the devices are brought close together. A smooth, satisfying exploding light animation can then be seen, indicating the success of the transfer.

However, while others praise the animation, others note how slow and long it is, adding it is “unnecessary.”
