Steps
Step 1.) Go to System Settings.
Step 2.) Tap on Apps.
Step 3.) Tap on the Ellipsis icon (three vertical dots).
Step 4.) Tap on Show System Apps.
Step 5.) Find and tap on com.tmobile.pr.adapt.
Step 6.) Tap on the Disable button.
What to Do if It Does Not Work?
com.tmobile.pr.adapt can also be disabled using an Android app like Package Disabler. You can simply install it and remove all the Bloatware and Adware apps from your device. To use this app, you don’t need to root your device first. But if it does not work for you, then the only option you will have is rooting your device.
Use Package Disabler App
Step 1.) Download and install Package Disabler or Package Disabler Pro.
Step 2.) Launch the app, accept permissions, and allow administrator access.
Step 3.) The app may take a minute or two to show you all the Bloatware; once you see the list, search for com.tmobile.pr.adapt and check the box next to it.
Step 4.) Now click on the Disable button.
How to Uninstall com.tmobile.pr.adapt
Root Your Device
Note: Rooting your device will void the device warranty.
You can root your Android device with an Android app or using a Windows app. Most latest devices can’t be rooted without a computer, but we have mentioned both ways so you can try without a computer first.
Root without a PC
- Download and install the KingoRoot app on your Android device.
- Launch the app and tap on the Root button.
- Within minutes your device will be rooted. (If it fails, the app will ask you to try the computer version of KingoRoot.)
Root with a PC
As mentioned before, if your device can’t be rooted using an Android app, you will have to connect your device to a Windows computer and root it using the Windows version of Kingroot or any other software.
- Go to Settings > System > About phone.
- Tap the Build number until you see the message “You are already a developer” or “No need, developer mode has already been enabled.”
- Go back to the previous menu and tap on Developer options.
- Turn on USB debugging and OEM unlocking.
- Download and install KingoRoot on your Windows PC.
- Connect your Android device to the PC using a USB cable.
- Launch the KingoRoot app and wait until it detects your device.
- Click on the root button and wait (it may take some time, depending on the network speed.)
- Once it’s done, you can remove your Android device.
- Download and install System App Remover on your rooted device.
- Launch the app, search for com.tmobile.pr.adapt and check the box next to it.
- Now tap on the uninstall button.
Unfortunately com.tmobile.pr.adapt has stopped
If the Unfortunately com.tmobile.pr.adapt has stopped dialog keeps popping up on your device, follow the steps to fix the issue.
Step 1.) Go to System Settings.
Step 2.) Tap on Apps.
Step 3.) Tap on the Ellipsis icon (three vertical dots).
Step 4.) Tap on Show System Apps.
Step 5.) Find and tap on com.tmobile.pr.adapt.
Step 6.) Tap on the Force Stop button and then clear data.
