Famous leaker @MajinBuOfficial has shared a new leak on X, claiming that the iPhone 15 event will indeed happen on September 12 instead of 13. The leaker shared some document screenshots from an unnamed source, showing details of Apple’s “New Product Launch” event details.

The screenshots show a document created as early as January 20 and shared on SharePoint. In one of the images shared, the description indicates that the event would be dedicated to Apple’s “yearly NPI with this year’s New Devices,” suggesting that it is for the expected iPhone 15 event introduction next month.

Despite this, the leaker stressed uncertainty about the information. Yet, by following previous reports, there is a high chance that the claim is likely true.

To recall, it was earlier reported that the event would happen on September 13 due to carrier companies “asking employees not to take days off on September 13 due to a major smartphone announcement.” Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman supported the claim. Nonetheless, he said there was a possibility that it might happen a day earlier since Apple usually conducts it on Tuesdays, but the Cupertino company had it on a Wednesday last year. After that, Gurman followed the claim with a rather certain one, saying, “Signs are increasingly pointing to Sept. 12 as the iPhone 15 event date.”

Meanwhile, the dates for the pre-order and official launch of the new iPhones remain unchanged. With this, fans can still expect the Friday of that week, September 15, to be dedicated to accepting customer pre-orders. Meanwhile, the official launch could happen a week later, which will be on September 22.
