Apple has finally confirmed the arrival of the Action Button in its iPhone 15 Pro models. During the Apple Event, invited guests had the chance to experience the new button, which affirmed some previous rumors.
The Action Button replaces the Mute switch in the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. Despite this, Apple assured iPhone patrons that switching between Mute and Ring modes will still be easy as the new button will have this function by default.
Meanwhile, Apple confirmed that the Action Button would be customizable with different functions. As Apple shared in the event, aside from haptic feedback, the Action Button will complement the Dynamic Island, allowing users to show its action. The company also revealed a dedicated UI in the Settings for easy and intuitive use of the functions. Here are the customization options for the new button:
