iPhone users are set to have new ringtones through the iOS 17 update that Apple will release on September 18. Apple has already added the new tones in the iOS 17 Release Candidate (RC) released this week.

After months of testing, Apple is finally releasing the official version of iOS 17 next Monday. The update comes with a variety of new features and improvements, including new ringtones that users should be able to use for their different notifications.

According to the latest RC of the update, there will be more than 20 new ringtones users can use. Apple also remastered some old ringtones and introduced more prominent haptic feedback to them.

This is an interesting addition to iOS 17 since the last time Apple introduced a new ringtone in its update was in iPhone X in 2017. The last major addition of multiple ringtones, meanwhile, happened in iOS 7 in 2013.

The new ringtones should be included in the final iOS 17 version next week, and it will be automatically available in newly purchased iPhone 15 units. For more details about the iOS 17 features and device compatibility requirements, click on the links on this page.
