Apple has made some changes in the maximum trade-in value of its different iPhone models as the iPhone 15 series release nears. In the new estimated trade-in value details shared by the company, customers can get up to £50 additional value in their old iPhones. Interestingly, Apple reduced the trade-in value of the iPhone 12 mini, while the value of the iPhone 13 mini for US customers remains unchanged.

Here is a comparison of the old and new trade-in value of different iPhone models for US- and UK-based customers:

iPhone 13 Pro Max: from $630 / £590 to $640 / £630 max trade-in value

iPhone 13 Pro: from $530 / £510 to $530 / £525 max trade-in value

Meanwhile, here is the complete trade-in value for iPhone devices in the US:

iPhone 7 Plus: Up to $50

iPhone 7: Up to $40

The change has come as the company prepares for the release of the new iPhone 15 series lineup in September. However, while this sounds like good news, it is important to note that Apple’s trade-in deals offer less value compared to when you personally sell your phone in other ways. Also, waiting for the new iPhone 15 series’s release is far more ideal than getting the iPhone 14 today. After all, the differences between iPhone 13 and iPhone 14 models are not huge, making the higher prices of the former not so appealing. With this, it is better to wait for Apple’s next flagship line, which is rumored to have better specs and features, including battery batteries and chips.
