Apple finally uncovered its iPhone 15 models to the public, allowing us to view most of their important features and details. One of them is the battery specifications.
Apple has already posted the specifications of all the iPhone 15 models on their respective pages. Although the details don’t include the exact battery specifications, the playback details will be enough to give us some helpful insight into how the units compare with one another and their predecessors.
Here are the estimated maximum playback of iPhone 15 and iPhone 14 models:

Despite previous rumors about huge battery improvements, the details shared by Apple show that there should be no difference in the estimated maximum playback of the new devices and their predecessors. This might appear disappointing for some customers expecting huge improvement in the battery life of the latest models this year, especially since the iPhone 14 lineup gained battery improvements compared to the iPhone 13 series in 2021.
Unfortunately, it is unknown how exact these details are or what caused these same specifications between the iPhone 14 and iPhone 15 batteries. Is it a tradeoff for a lighter body and a better chip? Is Apple reserving a better battery creation for the iPhone 16? We will be able to confirm these things once the actual units ship next week and some tests are performed on them.
